Информационные технологии в нашей жизни

В повседневной жизни мы часто слышим вопрос: «Современные технологии — это хорошо или плохо?» Конечно, все люди скажут, что это хорошо (за исключением некоторых бабушек).

Я спорить не буду, ведь сама часто пользуюсь Интернетом, телефоном и другими полезными вещами. Не буду много говорить о том, как это помогает нам быстро искать нужную информацию, общаться с далекими друзьями и так далее. Все и так об этом прекрасно знают. Но давайте прокомментируем технологии со всех их сторон.

Да, все эти современные штучки-дрючки очень полезны, но не стоит забывать, что не все умеют с ними правильно обращаться. Начнем с того, что Интернет детям не игрушка (особенно для таких детей, как я).

Мало того что неокрепшие умы видят там то, что им совсем не нужно видеть, так не стоит забывать, что плохой пример заразителен. Если буквально пять лет назад я радовалась тому, что мне можно посидеть полчасика поиграть, то, глядя на подрастающее поколение, я, честно признаюсь, начинаю их побаиваться, потому что не могу убедить выборочно пользоваться информацией из Интернета.

Еще один пример пагубного влияния Интернета на нашу дееспособность. Зашел ты в Интернет поискать информацию про гриб, а нашел новый клип своей любимой группы. Зачем полез — уже забыл. Итог: домашняя работа не выполнена. Или еще один случай. Смотришь в окно, а там дети бегают, играют, солнышко светит, хорошо! А ты такой: «Эх, я трачу свою жизнь впустую. Я ни на что не годен… О, мне сообщение пришло». И все по-новой…

Ну что это я все о плохом, да о плохом. Например, планшет мне очень нравится. Правда, у меня его нет, но по своим одноклассникам я могу сделать кое-какие выводы. Во-первых, не нужно тратить деньги и покупать новые книги, так как можно закачать все в него. И не беда, что ты уже с лета купил учебники, а планшет тебе подарили только зимой. Все равно его нужно носить: позвоночник отдыхает. Во-вторых, прощайте порезы от бумаги, теперь мне не надо перевертывать страницы. В-третьих, там ведь есть игрушки! (про Интернет я вообще молчу).

То есть теперь можно спокойно развлекаться на уроках, делая вид, что ты читаешь учебник. (Это, конечно, шутка.) Хм, лично я развлекаю себя на уроках тем, что разбираю и собираю ручки. Как-то не весело. Хотя если ты потеряешь пружинку, то потом будешь писать одним только стержнем. Будет веселее.

Что я хочу сказать, подытожив все мои рассуждения. Я не отрицаю, что информационные технологии — вещь нужная, но не стоит забывать, что раньше люди тоже как-то жили без них, то есть веселились, общались, делали доклады и проекты. А сейчас… Отправь человека в Сибирь, отобрав у него телефон, планшет… Поводите его пару часиков по лесу, а потом, спрятавшись за деревом, понаблюдай за ним. Думаю, выход из леса он не скоро найдет (лично я плохо ориентируюсь на незнакомой местности).

Какое значение имеет Интернет в наше время? Что для каждого из нас значит Интернет?Над этими и другими вопросами я часто задумываюсь, когда сажусь за свой любимый компьютерный стол и включаю компьютер.

В последние два десятилетия массовое производство персональных компьютеров и стремительный рост Интернета существенно ускорили становление информационного общества. Здесь главным ресурсом является информация, именно на ее основе можно эффективно и оптимально строить любую деятельность. Большая часть населения в информационном обществе занята в сфере обработки информации или использует информационные и коммуникационные технологии в своей повседневной производственной деятельности.

Сеть Интернет растет очень быстрыми темпами. И это очень хорошо. Ведь развитие глобальной сети Интернет позволяет мне более углубленно изучить те или иные науки, сферы жизни. В Интернете я могу без труда найти нужную информацию на интересующую меня тему. В сети Интернет можно заниматься творчеством, вступить в сообщество людей творческих профессий.

В последнее время все более широко распространяется интерактивное общение в Интернете в реальном режиме времени. Для меня такое общение интересно. Я могу не только слышать, но и видеть собеседника, обмениваться новостями, рассуждать о каких-то событиях. Сейчас большую популярность приобрело интерактивное общение через серверы: электронная почта, обмен текстовыми сообщениями, Интернет-телефония, передача файлов, поиск в сети людей и многое другое. Как же это интересно, какие же это большие возможности! Рассуждая об Интернете в наше время, я не могу не сказать о потоковых аудио и видео технологиях. В свободное время с удовольствием смотрю свои любимые фильмы и слушаю музыку, которая мне нравится.

Хотя Интернет жизненно необходим, но он занимает много времени. Все свое свободное время мы проводим за компьютерным столом. Я считаю, что во всем нужна мера, нельзя лишать себя общения с близкими людьми, чтения книг. Занятия спортом, музыкой также необходимы каждому подростку. Экран монитора не может заменить человеческий взгляд и теплое рукопожатие.

Мы живем в информационном обществе, поэтому не можем существовать без информационных технологий, но давайте не будем забывать об общении за круглым семейным столом, доверительных разговорах с глазу на глаз, дружеских объятиях. Никакой Интернет этого не заменит

Информационные технологии

В наше время появляется все больше и больше IT. IT-средства встречаются каждый день в нашем быту: телефоны, компьютеры, планшеты, электронные книги, цифровые фотоаппараты и др. Если посмотреть на это с одной стороны, то можно сказать, что они делают нашу жизнь комфортнее, удобнее и интереснее. Благодаря компьютерам стало легче работать, делать презентации и проекты, социальные сети пользуются огромной популярностью и соединяют людей из разных точек земного шара. А о мобильниках и говорить нечего: они так сильно закрепились в нашей жизни, что практически невозможно ее представить без мобильных телефонов. С их помощью стало проще связываться с людьми, благодаря чему проблема связи полностью была устранена. А в нынешнее время они также вмещают в себя огромную вариацию приложений, наиболее используемыми из которых являются Интернет, игры, видео и музыка. Электронная книга удобнее, компактнее и мобильнее здоровенной домашней библиотеки в шкафу. В общем, IT имеют много преимуществ. Но, как говорится, и у этого дела есть оборотная сторона медали. Помимо того, что IT очень полезны, они также наносят серьезный вред обществу. В пример можно привести социальные сети: у них есть свойство, подобное тому, которое есть у телевидения — они способствуют «обыдлению» народа. Многие люди пользуются ими скорее не как способом общения, а как видом досуга. Грубо говоря, эти люди тупо сидят перед экранами своих компьютеров без какой-либо пользы для себя или для окружающих. Точно так же сидят и игроманы — люди зависимые и помешанные на компьютерных играх, в которых (в большинстве случаев) нет смысла. Конечно, эта зависимость не так опасна, как наркомания, но и она приводит к психическому расстройству, которое является потенциальной угрозой как для себя, так и для окружающих. Кстати, был зафиксирован летальный исход, связанный с он-лайн игрой WoW (World of Warcraft).

Японка восемнадцати лет умерла от истощения, так как беспрерывно играла около 23 часов. Вдобавок ко всему выше сказанному следует причислить и то, что многие IT-гаджеты повседневной жизни сильно ухудшают зрение (компьютеры, телевизоры, телефоны, PSP и др.).

Ведь большая часть людей проводит за компьютером около 1-2 часов в день как минимум. Общий вывод, я думаю, будет таков: надо умело пользоваться ИКТ, зная меру.

В современном мире человек стремится использовать различные гаджеты для облегчения жизни, причем как можно больше и чаще.

Возьмем к примеру обучение. На данный момент во всех школах используют IT для более быстрого и углубленного изучения того или иного предмета, т.к. не во всех учебниках, как я считаю, есть полная необходимая информация. В моей школе, например, мы пользуемся компьютерными устройствами, проекторами и т.д. Но также неотъемлемой частью всего этого является Интернет. Каждый учитель в нашей школе имеет возможность выхода в Интернет — а это быстрый поиск необходимой информации для урока.

Но не будем забывать и про учеников. Мобильные телефоны, планшеты, электронные книги и т.д. — все это есть почти у каждого среднестатистического ученика. На данный момент технический прогресс дошел до того, что ребенку достаточно взять с собой в школу планшет или электронную книгу и не таскать с собой за плечами трехкилограммовую сумку. Но большая часть учеников использует эти приборы, так сказать, в корыстные целях: вбивают туда шпаргалки, которые не шуршат при доставании из кармана, дабы не привлечь внимания учителя. Или просто пользуютcя Интернетом.

Я пользуюсь электронной книгой на данный момент, ну и, конечно же, сотовым телефоном. Это, естественно, облегчает мне жизнь в прямом смысле, но у этих приборов есть и свои недостатки. Я говорила о мобильности гаджетов, но зачастую в маленькую пластмассовую дощечку, которую мы называем планшет, столько запихивают, что о мобильности и речи быть не может! Случается такое, что в учебнике нужную тебе информацию найти быстрее, чем ждать пока загрузится страница. Также эти приборы из-за перегрузок могут выключиться или зависнуть или даже и вовсе сломаться. В результате этого вся твоя сохраненная информация пропадет, и будет достаточно трудно восстановить утерянное. В электронных книгах зачастую недостаточно хорошая графика для чтения, что в свою очередь сильно сказывается на зрении. Существуют, конечно, электронные книги с чернобелой графикой, что создает впечатление настоящей книги, но не все могут себе это позволить, так как цветной дисплей дешевле, чем черно-белый.

Я, конечно, пользуюсь гаджетами, но не забываю и об обычных учебниках и книгах, которые техника не может заменить.

IT в нашей жизни

На дворе 21 век. Это век инноваций и современных технологий. Человечество создает разные, так называемые «умные машины». Сотовые телефоны, компьютеры, ноутбуки, смартфоны, плееры, планшеты и многое другое можно включить в список информационных технологий. Так как же они влияют на жизнь? Попробуем в этом разобраться.

Например, возьмем самый обыкновенный сотовый телефон. Их разнообразие порой удивляет даже самого продвинутого человека. На сегодняшний момент почти у каждого есть он. Даже маленькие дети являются обладателями этого прибора. Сейчас мы не представляем без него существования. Мобильный телефон позволяет нам общаться с людьми независимо от того, на каком расстоянии они от нас находятся. Мы можем просматривать, снимать фото и видео и т.д. Играть в разные игры. Это не только средство связи, но и развлечение.

Что же, например, можно сказать о плеере? Это тоже довольно популярная вещь среди людей. Так же, как и сотовых телефонов, их существует огромное множество. У него схожие функции с телефоном. Только вот общаться по нему нельзя.

А сейчас поговорим про планшеты. Это новое слово в техническом мире. Эта новинка техники не так давно появилась на мировых рынках компьютерной индустрии и уже успела завоевать поклонников. У гаджета сенсорная основа, которая облегчает обращение с ним. У него те же функции, что и у комьютера. Только он более компактен и его удобно носить с собой.

Ну и наконец, «любимец публики» — компьютер. Как без него жить?! Этого себе уже никто не представляет. Масса информации хранится на нем. Мы не сможем без Интернета. Это бездна информации, которая основательно втянула нас в свои сети. Социальные сети позволяют нам общаться с разными людьми из разных городов, стран, континентов. Да даже элементарную информацию для обычного урока мы берем из Интернета.

Я пользуюсь всеми вышеприведенными технологиями, и они очень помогают в жизни! Без технологических инноваций наша жизнь невозможна!

Об IT и не только…

В наше время информационные технологии необыкновенно популярны. Помимо того, что им подчинена вся наша жизнь, мы не можем без них ступить и шагу, мы засыпаем и просыпаемся с ними, мы еще и мир решили переделать под них.

Природу нам заменяют красивые картинки и звуки, созданные искусными мозгами компьютерных гениев, живое общение — виртуальные беседы, а уж про геймеров даже говорить не стану. Прогресс дошел даже до того, что нам не понятна классика. Любая. В музыке, в литературе и даже в кино. Появляется огромное количество ремейков, аранжировок и адаптаций. Однако я сейчас не буду сетовать или, наоборот, восхищаться существующим положением дел. О, нет! На мой взгляд, это слегка банально и ординарно. Я решила подумать, почему в сфере IT на сегодняшний день больше мужчин.

К сожалению, современное общество считает, что высоким уровнем развития IT мы обязаны именно сильной половине населения земного шара. Однако как же быть с тем, что женщины все же внесли свой вклад в развитие информационных технологий. Правда, обидно, что большинство об этом даже не подозревает. Всем комфортнее знать имена мужчин, ведь как ни крути, а наше общество все еще запрограммировано под патриархат.

О, общество запрограммировано. Верно. И эти запрограммированные как раз и создали искусственный интеллект, который также легко запрограммировать. Кстати, о программировании. Первым программистом в мире является дочь выдающегося английского поэта-романтика лорда Байрона Ада Лавлейс. В ее честь даже назван язык программирования. Да, хрупкие девушки без сомнения способны на подобные действия. А сколько таких же хрупких девушек помогало в дальнейшем развивать IT. Например, Грейс Мюррей Хоппер, будучи контр-адмиралом военно-морского флота США, разработала в 1950-х годах компилятор. Без этой программы ни один компьютер не понимал бы языков программирования. Вот так -то вот.

Несмотря на то, что сам компьютер был создан мужчинами, выполнять основные функции его научила именно женщина. К сожалению, роль женщин в подобных вещах просто недооценивается. Между тем профессор бременского университета Вероника Эхтеринг считает, у женщин есть фундаментальное преимущество – они мыслят более структурированно, чем мужчины. Даже несмотря на то, что большинство представительниц прекрасной половины человечества утверждает, что совершенно не представляет, как обращаться со всеми этими гаджетами. Это простой камуфляж. Согласитесь, всегда приятно совершать поступки, которых от тебя никто не ожидал, и потом ловить на себе восхищенно-удивленные взгляды. А то, что многие из девушек толком не знает компьютерных терминов и называет их «штуковинами» или «причиндалами», это потому, что так проще. Голова свободна от огромного количества постоянно устаревающих терминов (в наше время за прогрессом угнаться не самая простая задача) и открыта чему-то более полезному, структурированию и упрощению, а тем самым способствованию проникновения плодов IT в массы.

Кроме того, я просто уверена, что многочисленные программы, творящие чудеса (дающие возможность общаться с человеком, живущим за океаном, огромные кладези вещей, необходимых для учебы и т.д.) переведены на людской язык женщинами и именно поэтому так доступны и широко используемы.

Ко мне только что пришла мысль о рекламе всех продуктов IT. Большинство работников PR компаний — женщины, следовательно, они и вносят свой вклад в развитие технологий, помогающих художникам, дизайнерам и прочим сотрудникам творить. Интересная деталь: несмотря на высокое развитие технологий, современные планшеты и прочие приспособления для рисования все же до конца не облегчают жизнь творческим людям, от них по-прежнему требуется высокий разряд мастерства.

В заключение хочу отметить, что IТ все же вызывают страх у многих людей. Бытует мнение, что их высокое развитие однажды погубит людскую расу, машины вырвутся из-под нашего контроля и сотворят непотребные вещи. Лично мне кажется, переживать особо не стоит. Если машины поднимут бунт против своих создателей, кто в основном мужчины, люди, не имеющие отношение к их рождению, обязательно что-нибудь придумают и всех спасут, как — никак женщины мыслят более структурированно.

Так что, на мой взгляд, связь женщин и IT в наш век все же прочна и необходима.

Можно даже сказать, что между ними существует некая дружба, не зря же многие девушки разговаривают со своими гаджетами в ласковых тонах, а те отвечают им взаимностью, то есть дольше работают и реже зависают.

В современном мире жизнь невозможно представить без некоторых вещей. Представьте себе, что вы возвращаетесь домой и не включаете телевизор, сразу же схватившись за пульт. Или элементарно не можете вытащить мобильный телефон из кармана, что бы посмотреть время. Трудно поддаться подобной фантазии. Потому наверняка у каждого есть тот самый наиважнейший в жизни «прибор», без которого тот не может представить свою жизнь.

Пожалуй, стоит упомянуть такую популярную в жизни человека вещь, как компьютер. Раньше это была целая схема блока питания, клавиатуры, мыши, колонок, но сейчас эта вещь эволюционировала, объединив все вышеуказанное в один КПК.

Пожалуй, одной из самых важных и интересных особенностей ПК является его многофункциональность. Порой кажется удивительным то, что компьютер или ноутбук может заменить огромный рюкзак с блокнотом, пеналом, альбомом, учебниками, другими книгами и многим-многим другим. Не говоря уже о многих хобби, которыми компьютер помогает овладеть. Фотография – и та требует хорошей обработки, которую помогает осуществить все тот же верный друг.

Конечно же, каждый владелец компьютера имеет дело с Интернетом. Это одна из любимых вещей для многих пользователей ПК. Подумать только, один только маленький модем или тоненький проводок, и вы получаете возможность следить за возможностями во всем мире. Главное в этом — нырнув с головой, впоследствии вынырнуть и не застрять в виртуальном мире навсегда.

В мою жизнь такая вещь, как компьютер пришла, когда мне было лет 10. Первую пару лет я сидела в играх, которые также во многом обскакали реальные игрушки, которыми раньше увлекались дети. После я начала прислушиваться к такому слову, как «Интернет». И вскоре мои просьбы установить его дома претворились в жизнь. Что сказать, стало в разы легче искать материал для уроков, красиво его оформлять, также создавать что-то для души.

Как всегда, все хорошо в меру: не стоит забывать, что чрезмерное использование компьютера вредит вашему зрению, а также значительно сокращает количество свободного времени. Порой засиживаешься и не замечаешь, как пять минут незаметно превратились в целый час. Однако, если время, проведенное за компьютером, потрачено вполне осознанно, то вы вряд ли когда-нибудь пожалеете об изобретении этой машины.

Роль информационных технологий в моей жизни

Вся современная жизнь сейчас переплетается с высокими технологиями: домашнее задание мы (школьники) все чаще делаем на компьютере, основы для докладов и презентаций берем из Интернета, электронные учебники и словари постепенно вытесняют бумажные. Это естественно: прогресс не стоит на месте, мир развивается, новые методы и устройства заменяют старые, и все, что еще вчера казалось нам незаменимым, уже сегодня обращается в прах. Приведу доказательство этому утверждению: цены на высокотехнологичные устройства стабильно падают, и это обуславливается тем, что им изобретается замена, более практичная, удобная и иногда даже дешевая. Мобильные телефоны «Nokia», например, всего несколько лет назад являвшиеся показателем достатка, сейчас неудержимо рушатся в цене. Практически не имевшая вначале аналогов технология подключения к интернету «GPRS» сейчас прочно и навсегда вытеснена другой технологией «3G», которая, в свою очередь, уже теряет популярность из-за появления «WiFi».

Не так давно я по-настоящему понял, как сильно завязан с информационными технологиями. У меня отключили Интернет буквально на несколько дней (разрыв провода из-за метели).

В принципе, проблема устраняется за сутки, но у ремонтной бригады был то ли семинар, то ли отгул, поэтому мне пришлось ждать трое. И тут на меня навалились не сказать проблемы – так, небольшие, но ощутимые трудности: я не мог ни сделать доклад, ни проверить почту, ни зарегистрироваться на олимпиаде (а вот это уже оказалась действительно проблема, так как сроки регистрации поджимали).

Я не мог даже поиграть по сети. И вот тут-то я понял, что жить без Интернета – если вдруг, тьфу-тьфу-тьфу, придется – мне будет трудновато.

А если посмотреть шире, то у меня без Интернета все будет еще о-оочень хорошо в сравнении с людьми, чья жизнь не просто завязана, а основывается на высоких технологиях. Возьмем, например, киберспортсменов. Случись что-то неприятное, будь то вирус или глобальный сбой (опять же сплевываю), они попросту помрут с голоду, ибо ничего иного делать попросту не умеют. И то же самое произойдет и с программистами, и с системными администраторами, и с массой других людей, имеющих сходные профессии.

Весь мир сейчас, повторюсь, повязан с техникой, да так, что жить без нее люди уже не могут – не ошибусь, если скажу, что процентов эдак сорок взрослых считать без калькулятора не умеет. А это плохо, так что нам, молодому поколению, нужно учиться жизни, и, само главное, поменьше пользоваться всякими гаджетами и побольше все делать собственными руками.

Я обязана сказать огромное спасибо людям, которые создали Интернет, потому что благодаря ему я нашла очень хорошую и преданную подругу. Мы ни разу с ней не встречались, так как мы являемся друзьями по переписке, и нас разделяют тысячи километров. Мою подругу зовут Сара, и она живет в Хорватии. Благодаря социальным сетям мы познакомились, затем общались через Skype. На данный момент я уже не представляю жизни без нее. Конечно, иногда мы можем не понять друг друга, так как общаемся на английском. Я очень хочу встретиться с ней вживую. Вы спросите, как можно доверять человеку, с которым даже не знакома лично? Я отвечу: просто. Я уже успела полюбить ее как свою родную сестру, которой у меня никогда не было, но о которой я мечтала всю жизнь. Я смело доверяю ей все свои самые сокровенные тайны и мечты, как и Сара доверяет мне свои.

Но давайте отойдем от этой темы. Еще я хотела бы рассказать о новом достижении, таком, как виртуальная реальность. С изобретением виртуальной реальности человек может создать абсолютно любой мир, в котором можно свободно перемещаться, общаться и даже получать какие-нибудь ощущения. С помощью довольно сложного программного обеспечения пользователь способен спроектировать свой дом или же машину, причем такую, какую хочешь именно ты. Виртуальный мир позволяет человеку создать свой собственный мир, в котором он сможет отвлекаться от реальности, пусть на время, но уходить от своих проблем. Разве не здорово? Хотя у каждого человека свое мнение, и спорить бессмысленно.

И последний момент, на котором я бы хотела остановить свое внимание это усовершенствование качества образования. Сегодня учитель создает презентации к своему уроку, что позволяет ученикам более наглядно изучить материал, который ученики обязаны усвоить.

Про все это можно говорить еще очень долго. Но я все равно хочу заметить, что людям не стоит становиться зависимыми от этих изобретений, иногда полезнее прочитать какую-нибудь интересную книгу или просто прогуляться с друзьями на свежем воздухе.

Без компьютера сложно представить современную жизнь. Дети, подростки, студенты, бизнесмены, учителя… Компьютер облегчает работу представителей многих профессий.

Что же касается нас, гимназистов, чем нам поможет компьютер? Лично я использую его и дома, и в гимназии. Благо дело, в нашей школе есть такая возможность. Нужна оценка — сделай презентацию, сложный опыт по физике посмотри повтор на видео, нужен Интернет или принтер — иди в библиотеку. Безусловно, это помогает учиться.

Но, к сожалению, это оружие о двух концах. В Интернете стала популярной ироническая фраза: без Интернета я ничего не могу сделать, а с Интернетом — не делаю. Заходим в контакт, чатимся и играем, часами не вылезаем с фан–сайтов, забывая, зачем пришли…

Но это дело поправимое. Я думаю, если найти золотую середину, компьютер может быть верным помощником.

Вот и получается, что компьютер — это вещь, которая часто помогает людям, если ей не злоупотреблять. Иначе он сыграет больше отрицательную, чем положительную роль.

Компьютерные технологии занимают большое место в моей жизни. Вопервых, они служат мне средством общения с друзьями. Во- вторых, это отдых, развлечения, досуг, т.е. просмотр фильмов, чтение электронных книг, компьютерные игры и, наконец, Интернет.

Используя Интернет, можно найти любую информацию для устного ответа или доклада, не выходя из дома. Теперь библиотеки, не имеющие компьютера, опустели. Но наша школьная библиотека – другое дело. Она оснащена современными ноутбуками и планшетами, значительно облегчающими нашу школьную жизнь.

На уроках мы тоже используем компьютерные технологии. Например, на уроках физики мы просматриваем опыты и физические процессы, которые не смогли бы провести или пронаблюдать в классе. А на уроках математики мы работаем с интерактивной доской. Это делает изучение материала не только познавательным, но и более интересным.

В общем, без ИКТ моя жизнь была бы невозможна.

Информационные технологии играют большую роль в моей жизни. Мы часто смотрим презентации на уроках и сами делаем их. Многие из нас с удовольствием участвуют в олимпиадах по информатике. Мне большую помощь оказал компьютер при подготовке проекта по физике к научнопрактической конференции.

С помощью электронной почты мы общаемся с людьми, живущими далеко от нас. Например, мой друг живет в Египте, и я не только переписываюсь с ним, но и общаюсь по скайпу.

Я думаю, что информационные технологии очень важны в наше время.

ИКТ — это новая сфера жизни, новый простор, новые измерения. Жизнь меняется. И ИКТ — одна из лучших ее метаморфоз.

Не многим более 20 лет назад компьютеры считались какими-то недоступным для простого обывателя машинами из далекого будущего. Но прошло совсем немного времени, и мир кардинально изменился.

IT-технологии затрагивают широкий спектр различных областей деятельности по обработке и управлению данными, где применяется вычислительная техника. В быту мы не пользуемся и часто не осознаем значение этого термина. Для нас IT-технологии более известны как компьютерные технологии. Живя в XXI веке, мы порой не задумываемся, как велика их роль.

С понятием «компьютер» я прежде всего ассоциирую термин «Интернет». Я не могу представить себе выполнение дополнительных домашних заданий без помощи «Глобальной сети» — быстро и понятно. Бывает, найдешь доклад, отредактируешь текст, распечатаешь, сделаешь к нему презентацию и чувствуешь удовлетворение от проделанной работы. А ведь большую часть этой работы сделала техника, а не ты. Таким образом, компьютер экономит наши силы и время. За уроками не успеваешь вживую встретиться с друзьями, а в социальных сетях можно легко обменяться парой фраз на ту или иную тему.

В то же время у IT-технологий есть существенные минусы. За последнее время техническая наука совершила огромный скачок в усовершенствовании машин, но прогресс отрицательно влияет на наше здоровье. Если задуматься, мы проводим почти все — будь то свободное или нет – время за компьютером, гонимые необходимостью или любопытством. Тем временем компьютерное излучение и мелькание ярких красок отнюдь не делают наши глаза более здоровыми. Но недаром же существует старинная русская пословица об обратной стороне медали.

Тем не менее, информационные технологии прочно вошли в мою жизнь и современное общество вряд ли можно представить без них. Они открыли новые возможности для работы и отдыха, позволили во многом облегчить труд человека. Перспективы развития вычислительной техники сегодня сложно представить даже специалистам. Однако ясно, что в будущем нас ждет нечто грандиозное. И если темпы развития информационных технологий не сократятся (а в этом нет никаких сомнений), то это произойдет очень скоро. И это снова интригует…

IT технологии в моей жизни

XXI век – век компьютеризации. На данный момент, пожалуй, невозможно найти семью, в которой не было бы компьютера и человека без сотового телефона. Для нас все эти приборы являются обыденностью, а не диковиной, как это было несколько десятилетий назад. Многие считают, что в век IT технологий новые средства коммуникации и информации оттеснят книгу, отведут её на второй план, а, следовательно, и интерес к нашим кумирам – классикам. Но так ли это?

Нельзя не согласиться, что IT технологии занимают определенное место в нашей жизни и порой невозможно представить нашу повседневность без них. К наиболее ярким представителям IT технологий я бы отнесла интернет, компьютер и сотовую связь, поскольку они известны и доступны для основной массы населения.

Как мне кажется, компьютер и интернет – это удивительные и уникальные изобретения, так как для некоторых это и «место» работы, для других источник информации, а для третьих предмет для развлечений. Возможности компьютера, в том числе и интернета, безграничны, но всё необходимо использовать в меру. Для меня же, компьютер – это источник информации, и в этом я нахожу его большой плюс, потому что можно не сидеть в библиотеке, не перечитывать десятки томов, а одним нажатием мышки получить ту информацию, которая необходима. Но не всегда мы можем найти достоверную и качественную информацию, если да, то в большом объёме и не всегда то, что нужно. В этих случаях нам на помощь приходит книга.

Книга – мой друг, товарищ всегда и везде. Я не разделяю позицию людей, считающих, что скоро близка смерть книги. На мой взгляд, книгу трудно заменить как привычный источник глубокой информации и художественную литературу не вытеснить ни компакт-дисками, ни видеозаписью, ни интернетом. В книге я бы выделила одну особенность: с ней беседуешь, вступаешь в диалог с автором. Да, да, именно в диалог! Потому что мудрая книга требует труда мысли, воображения. Можно сказать, творят не только писатели, творит и читатель, для которого за страницами книги создаётся живой мир.

Безусловно, IT технологии – это большой прогресс в науке, но не стоит увлекаться. Не допустите, чтобы сети интернета поглотили вас! Оглянитесь… Сколько в мире прекрасного и неизведанного! Познавайте его, а лучшим помощником в этом будет книга!

Nowadays people are discussing the problem of mobile phones. Some people think that cell phones are one of the most useful things in our life. Others believe that they can even do us harm.

Personally, I believe that there are many reasons why people should use mobile phones. Firstly, they are portable, that is why they are always at hand no matter where you are. Secondly, cell phones enable us to call for help in case of emergency. Finally, parents always worry about their children and with the help of mobile phones they can easily make sure that their children are in safe.

Nevertheless, there is another opinion which is supported by others. Some people think that there are disadvantages of using mobile phones. For instance, people can easily become addicted to cell phones since they are now multi-purposed with different functions. As for me, I believe that programmes in the handy such as a calculator or a reminder help us to combine all the necessary gadgets in a tiny one. What is more, they think that cell phones give out radioactive waves, which are dangerous for our brains and ears. On the contrary, I want to say that scientists have not confirmed this fact yet. It is just a supposition.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the problem of cell phones is a mixed blessing. Moreover, we should think carefully about the advantages and drawbacks before purchasing a mobile phone and ask ourselves why we need it and whether we will be able to use it responsibly.

It is said that Internet is one of the most important inventions of humanity. Anyway, there are lots of people who believe that the Internet is extremely harmful for young minds.

In my point of view, pluses of the Internet can hardly be denied. First of all, it helps to unite all continents, all nations, gives all people in the whole world an opportunity to communicate with each other, to stay in touch with friends faraway. It is the fastest and easiest way to get some information, download films and music for free.

On the other hand, opponents of the Internet usually advance an argument that people especially kids and teenagers become addicted to the Internet, and, moreover, lose their social skills in the real world. But this happens occasionally, and usually teens prefer their real friends to cyber ones after all. As for the addiction, in my opinion, it is much better to be addicted to the Internet rather than to drugs, for example.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the Internet is really one of the greatest achievements in the history, and it is like a small step to the perfect united world.

Nowadays, cell phones are an essential part of our lives, so we can not imagine our life without them. However, some people consider that microwave radiation from mobile phones may cause serious diseases.

Personally, I believe that gadgets bring some advantages. First, cell phones allow people to stay in touch all day long. Moreover, it is a good possibility of immediate access to the Internet. In addition, cell phones are the best way to arrange a meeting as quickly as possible.

However, many people suppose we rely too much on gadgets and it can damage our ears. What is more, people use the phone while they are driving, so that can cause car accidents. Despite of this, I am sure that if you have got into an accident, you can call the police or the ambulance and if the phone has a camera, you can take photos of the crash. Furthermore , if you are lost, you can look up the direction.

To conclude, it appears that cell phones are a mixed blessing. Nevertheless, I guess that mobile phones have become an important part of our life. To crown it all, parents can be a little less worried about their kids by being in constant touch with them.

TV OR NOT TV?

Nowadays TV shows are broadcast all around the world and have a great number of viewers. However, there are those who are sure TV show is definitely not the thing worth spending time on.

From my point of view, the main aim of TV shows is to get high ratings for the channel broadcasting them, so they are more intended for ordinary people, and it can be really dull and useless for those who are eager to learn more and spend time on something informative. Then, sometimes it turns out to be really disgusting to watch them as they are full of rubbish, abuse and intolerance and they give a bad example for you in that way. Furthermore, another drawback of them is that they take up much time per day: you waste about an hour watching a daily release and also searching the Internet for more information about it if you are a real fan.

On the other hand, some people believe they can find a solution to their own relationship problem in these programmes. Nevertheless, as TV shows are overflowed with gossip and scolding, it is more likely for you to make your relations even worse. Moreover, they suppose it is a good way to relax after a hard-working day. Well, I think such programmes will just spoil your brain at last. I would advise to watch a good film or just devote some time to chatting with close friends.

To summarize, TV shows are a mixed blessing nowadays. Of course, people can watch them but in moderation. Personally, I guess they can only rubbish my mind.

Some people say that there is plenty of violence on TV, as a result people become aggressive and get out of control. Others claim that it is not connected to the usage of TV and it is due to something else.

Personally, I believe that violence should be banned from our TV because it is really dangerous. When people watch action films, they become more anxious and obsessed, they can destroy something and it is really awful. During the violent film, people see murderers, killers, so they may be willing to copy them and begin committing crimes.

Nevertheless, there is another point of view. Scientists claim that people’s aggression increases because of the contemporary governmental system. For instance, in ancient times, when there was no TV, life was less dangerous. In spite of this, there are lots of good programmes on TV, which help us to relax after a hard-working day, have fun with the friends and, chat with each other. It goes without saying that you can learn something new and enlarge your outlook. However, violence influences the young mind, so it is harmful for people.

Taking everything into consideration, I would like to say that this problem is a mixed blessing. There are lots of opinions which prove that this problem is really actual in our hectic world, where IT plays a vital role for people, helping them in different ways. As for me, I think we should ban violence from TV to protect our people and prevent crimes.

Technology plays an important role in our lives. People use gadgets either in their everyday life or at work. Despite that fact, there is a group of people who claim that electronic equipment makes us lazier.

As for me, I am definitely sure that up-to-date technology helps us to deal with daily difficulties. First of all, such gadgets as mobile phones give us a chance to keep in touch with other people every moment of the day. Moreover, a vacuum cleaner, a washing machine, a cooker and a microwave oven make it easier to deal with unpleasant housework. In addiction, there is no other effective way of keeping and working with data then to use a Personal Computer. PC is a multi-functional device, which will be useful if you want to entertain yourself too. On the contrary, some people believe that overusing technology leads to putting on weight. I can not agree with this statement because electronic equipment used in gyms nowadays helps a lot in keeping fit. Indeed, some people claim that using such gadgets as microwave ovens makes us too lazy. If you ask me, it just helps us to save time because we do not need to wait until the food is warm for so long or wash extra pans. To sum up, it should be mentioned that opinions differ but I strongly think that technology helps us a lot.

Some people claim that using technology is very significant for the present time. Nevertheless, other people are sure mankind misuses machines and makes itself weaker.

I believe that our daily life has become much more pleasant due to technology. First of all, no one should spend as much time on cooking and house cleaning as he did it earlier, as a result, we can dedicate ourselves to self-improvement. Furthermore, it gives us opportunities to make our leisure move exciting and vivid. Last but not least, you can travel faster and move comfortably due to IT-technologies.

However, it is also said that people count on technology too much and do nothing themselves. But actually, it all depends on a human himself. A clever one will use modern gadgets for right needs but not for idling all the time. Besides, it is suggested as well there are those ones who are captivated by computer games or search the Internet and fall out of reality. So, the real problem is just the same. People just have to be taught not to abuse machines.

To sum up, the problem of IT-technologies is a mixed blessing nowadays. Personally, I suppose machines are incredibly useful when one can manage not to misuse them. Using technology gives us an endless number of possibilities and we should not miss them.

No doubt, today many people do believe cell phones are one of the most popular modern inventions. Others disagree insisting they are extremely harmful.

Personally, I do believe mobile phones facilitate communication so people can keep in touch with their friends and be in the know of everything happening around. What is more, messages can be sent wherever you want even if you can not talk at the moment. Last but not least, they are quite small and portable so it is easy to bring them along.

But on the other hand, there is a group of people who do find mobile phones can do us the world of harm because of radiation. I partially agree with them but modern phones have lots of useful services which enable us to surf the Internet or enjoy ourselves playing games. The opponents claim phones raise the number of pickpocketing, especially phone thefts. I share their worries, however, phones are quiet cheap so everyone can afford one.

Summing up, this problem is a mixed blessing as it is a difficult question to solve. However, I would like to have a mobile phone to keep in touch though I should use it in moderation.

It said that the Internet is one of the greatest things ever invented by humans. However, some people think that it can do a world of harm to mankind.

If you ask me, I strongly think that Internet is one of the best inventions ever and it has a number of positive advantages. First of all, it allows you to communicate easily, no matter where your interlocutor is right now, in the nearest skyscraper or on the other continent. Secondly, it is a great source of information. Nowadays using the Internet there is no need to spend hours in the library searching for a pair of facts. Moreover, it is a contemporary and comfortable way of shopping, all you need is to fill in a form with you personal data to receive your purchases.

Despite all these facts, some people argue that surfing the Internet may harm your health, especially your eyesight. In fact, it is not true because modern monitors are specially made to protect your eyes from harmful effect. Furthermore, they claim that the Internet takes up too much time. Frankly speaking, I do not think that if a person has a whole lot of things to do during the day, he will spend all the time surfing the Internet. Despite the criticism by some and fears of others, the advantages of the Internet outweigh the disadvantages.

In the hectic world of today there are so many different views on the problem of IT technologies. Nowadays, people are surrounded by various machines, which often replace humans in a wide range of fields. Some people are sure that modern technologies are an essential part of our lives. Nevertheless, there are ones who believe that machines can conquer the world or force people to lead a slave-type existence. Personally, I am in favor of artificial intelligence. First, machines can perform dangerous jobs and time-consuming tasks. Besides, technologies are reliable and effective. To crown it all, some machines let us to have an immediate access to the Internet, so that we can explore the world with comfort. On the other hand, there is a group of people who oppose my point of view. They claim that machines completely occupy our life and people become addicted to IT-technologies. I tend to disagree with them because people can keep up-to-date with the global issues with the help of machines. Moreover, they are pretty sure that machines can become aggressive and uncontrollable. I can understand their concerns, however, in my opinion, machines can never get tired or exhausted. Taking everything into consideration, it goes without saying that nowadays this problem is a mixed blessing. In my opinion, the advantages of IT- technologies outweigh the disadvantages.

We know that humans lived for many hundreds of thousands of years without the technologies we are using today. In fact, even now, there are tribes who don’t have access to technology and lead happily their own way of life. But this does not mean however, that technology isn’t important for us. Technology affects almost everything we do and without it we would have to change almost every aspect of our lifestyles.

We live at the age of information technology and nowadays the internet is nearly as common as the telephone. No doubt that it is a unique invention, which has influenced all areas of our lives. However, some people consider the internet one of the greatest evils of our time. I am here to find out the truth.

On the one hand, the internet is very useful, because it lets us access the world of facts, figures and knowledge. In addition, with the internet, it is now possible to speak to friends and relatives anywhere in the world cheaply and quickly. Besides, other services are available through the internet such as booking tickets or buying things. What’s more the internet allows a lot of talented people to show the world their achievements and makes it easier to find a job.

But on the other hand, the possibilities of the Internet may seem frightening. Some people also ague that the Internet is dangerous because it is addictive. I agree with them because people spend hours in front of their computers and neglect their everyday duties. Another worry is the activities of cybercriminals. For instance, hackers can steal you money.

Nowadays millions of people from all over the world use a lot of appliances, devices and gadgets. It means that there have been a lot of changes in different areas such as education, communication and transport. But the most important changes have, of course, been brought to our homes.

On the one hand technological progress has many advantages. First of all, a lot of people use technologies in their work. A lot of information resources exist thanks to technological progress and it makes our lives easier. Secondly, even very primitive things are achievements of technological progress. For example, radio, electricity and washing machines. Thirdly, technological progress allows us to do a lot of things which would be impossible without it. For example, due to it we can travel around the world.

But on the other hand, we begin to live in front of the computer. We wake up and we turn on TV immediately. On the way to school we use our mobile phones to serf the Internet. As soon as we come back, we check our e-mail with our laptops and in the evening we watch movies on our computers. It becomes our routine and we don’t realize that we are going further and further from the real life. Just a few years ago we went out to meet our friends but now we use Skype. In those days teens used to hang around on the street, as they do now on the Internet. Don’t you notice that we are stuck to our screens? We chat, we watch films, we read books, we do the shopping, and we even do our homework in front of them. Of course, it is comfortable and quick but is it as exciting as real life.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN TODAY’S WORLD

Who would have thought in the years gone by, that technological advancement in the 20th century would make a great difference in our lives today? Definitely, all the progress have flourished over the past few decades.

Let me just introduce a few examples of our world’s “improvement”. Have you caught that very moment when you do not need to spend on postage to send snaps across to friends and family around the world? I am inclined to believe the answer is “no”. Everything is developing so fast nowadays that in our frantic world we do not even pay much attention to lots of kind of up-to-date inventions.

And what about Skype? Well recently, we had the programme downloaded onto our computer at home and voila! we spoke to family in Canada. One can speak to another either through computer to computer (if they have Skype) or from computer to landline. Life is so much easier and quicker to keep in touch with those to care about at a click of a mouse!

Technology is a very broad field and whichever aspect of it anyone decides to major in would definitely be an amazing choice. It’s not a field that will ever become obsolete, there will always be more information to research and more programmes and software to test. Robots and Artificial Intelligence will become even more widespread and well known as technology grows.

All in all, technology is rapidly advancing and improving everyday, no matter what type it is, manufacturing or medical or engineering or even domestic. There’s no way to escape it, it’s here to stay so you must embrace it or risk losing a ton of lucrative opportunities for the future.

The importance of new technology is obvious in the way we communicate and understand the world. But the new century is facing the questions about how rapid and how extensive the information revolution will be. And what would happen if all the machines stopped working?

Transport, like planes or cars, is exceedingly important, too. So can you imagine if it all stopped working? Without them we wouldn’t be going from one country to another easily. It means that if I lived in New Zealand it would take me a month to sail to Africa or Asia.

Suppose ovens stopped working, we wouldn’t be able to prepare food so fast since we would have to prepare it on fire. But it is really difficult to do.

The mobile phone is a great means of communication. The Internet is a great invention, too. Given the massive growth of both, human beings clearly have a huge need to communicate with each other. With their help we exchange personal matters, political issues, desires, wishes, plots and downfalls. Without phones and the Internet we wouldn’t be connected to our friends and parents anytime. Now can you imagine what would happen if it all disappeared? Impossible! Isn’t it?

Technology certainly influences my lifestyle positively as well as negatively. In case of an accident, I can contact somebody with my mobile immediately. My computer makes it simple to keep lots of documents and information. The internet and e-mail enable me to get information and news, to contact my friends, who live around the world, really fast. Unfortunately, technology sometimes makes me tired and I always have to be careful about computer viruses. Finally, it sometimes makes me lazy to meet my friends directly.

TELEPHONES AND IT-TECHNOLOGIES

Today Information Technologies are used on the Internet, mobile phones and computers every day and these things can help us do different things. If I want useful information, I’ll brose the Internet. If I didn’t have a computer or a laptop, I wouldn’t be able to listen to music or print my reports.

Lots of people are using telephones and mobile phones today which are a great way of communication. Personally I think it is a great invention. We can use one to call for help. Suppose you go to the forest with your family and suddenly you get lost. Or you can help other people. The same is true if you see an accident or someone who is hurt or ill. What would you do, if you didn’t have a mobile phone?

There are lots of kinds of phones. Some people use flip-phones, others like slider phones or Cell Phones. In my school a lot of children have i-phones and some kids in my class even have an i-pad. But I think they aren’t particularly handy. These are so big and you can’t put it in your pocket or clutch. You can brose the Internet, listen to music or talk to your friends on Skype but you can do the same using a flip or slider phones, too.

Some people use their mobile phones for work. For example, doctors. When they aren’t working at the hospital, they are always “on call”. That means that if anyone needs a doctor, they can call them at home. Telephones are also necessary at the rescue stations or in helicopters.

However, there are some rules which we have to follow so that we don’t annoy people around us. We must turn off the telephone during public events, for example, at the theatre or at the cinema. We should also remember to turn off our phone when we get on an aeroplane because the signals from our phone can confuse the control tower at the airport and this can be very dangerous.

To sum up, I think that we need information technologies now, because they are useful and help us at the work and at the school, but we must be careful and use them in moderation.

It was 19 September of the year 2012. I will always remember that day as it helped me to understand that we have a great power and don’t even notice it.

First, it seemed an ordinary day. My mother woke me up and told me about the Day of the Earth, which meant the day without any use of electricity. It was Sunday, so I had a lot of free time and I had an opportunity to spend it with my friends

Unfortunately, I couldn’t use any means of communication. That’s why it was impossible to call or to write. Then, I decided to do my homework and it took me 5 hours to do it! That time was the most boring time of my life as I had to use encyclopedias and to ask my mother and sisters millions of questions in order not to make mistakes.

After that, I wanted to relax, but I could only read books instead of watching TV, listening to music and chatting to my friends. Besides, 10 days before, I had met a boy via internet and a day without talking to him seemed a complete disaster, Moreover, I was worried that he could think that I am not interested in him and decide to break up with me.

When the sun set, I couldn’t do anything at all. So, I found some candles, and while they were burning, I burned my hand and had to put on a bandage. I told myself that I had to finish the day and went to sleep. When I got up, I understood that without IT technologies our days will be incredibly boring and annoying. So, we must appreciate what they do for us and for the whole planet.

It-technologies in my everyday life

Nowadays people cannot imagine their life without modern gadgets and tech! Technology is around as: in houses, at work and at school. It helps us to save our time and to do a lot of things easily, without any problems. As for me, life would be very difficult without technology. So, I’d like to think and explain how technology helps me in my everyday life.

To begin with, computer has become an important part in my life. To my mind, I can do almost everything with the help of the computer. It is much easier to edit and print documents using a PC. Besides, the World Wide Web allows me, for example, to access the latest information very quickly. What is more, I can also record films and programs which I want to see from television. Another thing, which is particularly popular now, is that today I can buy things sitting at home and using my computer.

Furthermore, Skype has become extremely popular among teenagers. Now I have an opportunity to chat and talk online with my close friends as well as friends thousands of miles away. Skype helps me to celebrate my birthday, learn a language, send messages and greeting cards and, of course, to communicate with my friends and share a common culture. So, I can say that it makes my life brighter and happier. Moreover, a lot of advanced technologies are used in gadgets that help me keep entertained, for example TV, the music systems, digital cameras, mobile phones, PCPs, laptops etc. My mobile phone always helps me to get out of a difficult situation or reach my friends wherever they are. TV also gives me an opportunity to relax after a hard day’s work and to escape from reality. By the way, the mp3 player makes my life easier and more pleasant. Music helps me to relax and mp3 makes it possible to listen to it everywhere, it means I can relax anywhere I want.

To sum up, I believe that technologies play an important role in my life and not only because they make our life easier but also because they help us to communicate with each other and to relax.

How computer has changed my life for the better

Children today are growing up in a world that has changed significantly. And it goes without saying that IT technologies have become an essential feature of our life. So, we are living in the age of information technology and nowadays the Internet is nearly as common as, for example, the telephone.

To tell the truth, I am not an exception. I mean that IT technologies play a very important role in my life. But I realized it only a year ago when I was presented with a personal computer. First, I didn’t like this present and even thought it would be harmful for both my mind and health because I heard a lot about so-called computer addiction.

It is a common belief that lots of young people cannot resist the temptation of playing computer games or surfing the Internet and neglect school work and everyday responsibilities. I am not a die-hard student but I did not want to waste my time. Fortunately, one day I had to switch my PC on to look up some information and since then I haven’t been able to live without IT.

There are many reasons why I enjoy it but the main is obviously that IT technologies help me do better at school. Furthermore, I consider computer to be a perfect tool for writing and editing texts, and modern versions of word-processing software, such as Word allow every work to be modified and improved as soon as ideas occur to me. It’s a real pleasure to know the whole work doesn’t need to be retyped or rewritten by hand just because a couple of lines are wrong.

Besides, I seem to be a rather friendly and communicative person, which means I am fond of making new friends. In this case, the Internet allows me to chat on-line with people in countries as far apart as Chile and Poland, giving me a great chance to practice my English. Moreover, if I want to send my letter, I can click the mouse instead of buying a stamp and finding time to make a trip to the post office.

So, you see, there are a number of reasons for me to like IT technologies and the last but not the least is that while using the Internet I can get rid of all my worries and problems and forget about the fact my exams are coming soon. All this confirms that my PC seems to have definitely changed my life for the better.

IT-Technologies — our future?

World science and technology are famous due to many achievements. On the top of the list there are the invention of the radio, the creation of the Periodical table of elements by D. Mendeleev, achievements of Russian space programme, the invention of lazer as well and many other discoveries.

Nowadays science keeps advancing. Our engineers and inventors create other modern inventions such as iPods, electronic books and netbooks. And I think, new achievements do not only improve our today`s life but will also be extremely useful in the future.

We can expect that Virtual reality will become a part of our everyday life. Most of us have heard of Virtual reality because of computer games and you may have seen films which base their plot on VR. One of the commonest uses of VR is in medicine. Scientists have managed to build VR machines which can help to train doctors in surgical techniques, but VR is also used in the operating theatre itself. For children who are seriously ill in hospitals, there is now a VR game network. The children have a lot of fun but, apart from that, research has shown that the system helps to reduce their pain and loneliness.

In my opinion, robots will help us in the future. Robots, which will look more and more like human beings, will have taken over a lot of boring everyday jobs. In the next five years, scientists will have invented a robot that understands human speech. I suppose, this will bring about a big change in the way we live.

What`s more, I believe, we won`t need books and paper in the future. As for newspapers, ecologically speaking, they`re bad news! We can`t really afford to cut down any more trees. One practical solution might be an electronic newspaper about the size of an A4 sheet of paper. It`ll have a tiny micro-chip inside, holding a huge amount of information. It`ll be much cleaner too.

It seems to me, that the importance of technology is really big, but one wonders whether, in years to come, we will still be falling in love and whether we will still feel pain. Who knows?

What a Day!

One day, all machines and computers broke down and didn’t work. It was the most awful day I have ever had! First of all, I was late for school because the alarm clock hadn’t woken me up. I had an idea to phone to my teacher and tell her about my problem since the great way of communication was by mobile phone. However, it didn’t work.

After a few minutes I remembered that another way of communication was by e-mail or using the Internet. I ran fast to my sister’s room, where there was the computer. It didn’t work either! I couldn’t believe that the Internet, which had been working for 20 years, was out of order. Besides, I had to get to school somehow. I had been walking on foot for 5 km until I reached my destination because there were no cars or buses. When I came to school, I was so tired that I couldn’t concentrate on my studies. However, there was nobody at school, so I had to go home for 5 km again!

At home I wanted to relax by watching TV and eating popcorn. I couldn’t do it because all machines stopped working! I was also worried about my parents because they were arriving in Penza by plane. Because of the problems with electricity, they couldn’t come home!

Finally, I sat in my armchair and thought that IT technologies are very important for all people. Computers can do some jobs very quickly and provide access to a lot of information. Other machines greatly facilitate our work and make our life easier and more exciting.

IT technologies in my life

To start with, an IT technology is an essential feature of my education. Nowadays many students all over the world use technology’s newest gadgets to make their education more exciting and easier. Because of this, the question of what technology has achieved for our students is still up in the air.

As for me, of course, I use the Internet, the biggest source of information and education. WWW allows us to access the latest information and education very quickly. Moreover, I chat on-line with my friends using Skype or ICQ if I have some free time or if I have a joint report with my classmate. I usually use various computers’ software, for example, it is much easier to edit and print documents using PC.

Our Department of Education invests a lot of money to provide our schools with modern tech-based learning programs. For example, all classrooms in our school are supplied with computers, interactive software and digital media. As well as that, we have an access to the Internet. Therefore most advanced tools support us with practical knowledge for us in particular areas.

In addition, the act of looking up information and research papers on the Internet with such an extensive resource can keep me engaged in project and learning for longer periods than I would bear with a set of encyclopedias. However, it is clear that I use not only IT technologies to improve or simplify my education. Speaking about the Internet, it is not the only means of information or source of knowledge. It works only combined with a free chat, music, video and other virtual products that satisfy the interests of many users.

As for me, I surf the Net for an hour every day to relax after hard working day at school. It helps me to escape from my problems and improve my mood which contributes to productive work. Moreover, I use the Internet with a microphone and a webcam to hear and see my friends while chatting to them. It is quite important for me, because the Net is a perfect opportunity to make friends all over the world and maintain international communication.

In conclusion, for me most IT technologies deal with the computer and the Internet and I cannot imagine my life today without them.

COMPUTER – A BLESSING OR A CURSE?

The impact of new technology, especially in the developed world, is apparent all around us in the way we communicate, run businesses and understand the world. For millions of people, the invention of the computer in 1948 appears to be the most significant event of the 20th century. Still, don’t you find that a PC doesn’t deserve so much attention?

On the one hand, the invention of the personal computer has simplified and improved our everyday life a great deal. To begin with, it has made the process of learning rather enjoyable by introducing new multimedia interactive software and virtual reality. Another good point for students is the opportunity to use word processors to do work for school as well as to use the Internet, providing us with loads of information on almost each topic, while doing some research for a lesson. Apart from that, computers save storage place. Just imagine, how much paper would have to be used and how many trees would have to be cut in order to store information which is today on a hard disk. In addition, the computer is a real “must have” in an office, since it can calculate and process information faster and more accurately that a human.

On the other hand, computers do have their cons that cannot be neglected. And the first thing is that they quickly become obsolete, so they soon need to be replaced. Moreover, despite all the technological progress PCs are still dangerous for our health. Constant staring at the monitor can cause dry or watery eyes and headaches which contribute to eye strain. As well as that, poor alignment of the head, neck, shoulder and back causes stress and pain, which affects every part of the body and can even lead to lasting health problems. Besides, there is a threat of becoming a computer addict. Nowadays, a lot of young people find VR more attractive than their routine lives and this makes them neglect their responsibilities.

Thus, although computers are considered practically irreplaceable and are widely spread all over the globe, we still need a teacher to guide us through the ocean of knowledge. And I agree with Pablo Picasso who said, “Computers are useless. They can only give you answers.”

It goes without thinking that nowadays computers, the Internet, mobile phones and other gadgets play an essential role in our life. Some people claim that all these technologies are a huge leap for mankind and they have many positive sides. But others disagree pointing out that computers and other technological equipment have changed our life-style for the worse.

No doubt that technology is developed at a rapid pace, opening up new possibilities for people worldwide. Also, it takes an important part in a life of each person. First of all, modern information and communication technologies have created a “global village”, in which people can communicate with others across the world as they were living next door. That is why the invention of a computer and the Internet has made the communication much easier and faster. What is more, computers and other gadgets are a valuable source of information, because using a computer, we can remain connected to the world through the Internet and find a huge amount of useful information to enlarge our outlook, because of learning more about different countries with their costumes and traditions. The Internet allows people from around the world to share knowledge, ideas and experiences in any field. Moreover, technological equipment is invaluable in education and training purposes. In fact on-line education is really popular nowadays, due to it is one of the most flexible and convenient forms of learning.

But on the other hand, in spite of many advantages, some disadvantages cannot be ignored. To start with I would like to say that not all things in the Internet are made in a good taste that is why sometimes the information from the Internet contains a lot of violence and pornography. More than that, overusing computers can provide us with poor health, because of the lack of sleep and exercise. Nevertheless, I do believe that in the past few decades, information and communication technologies have provided society with a vast array of new communication capabilities. For instance, people can communicate with each other in real-time using technologies such as instant messaging.

To reach the conclusion I would like to say that in my opinion technological gadgets have both good and bad point but also the invention of computers is the tremendous success for mankind.

Nowadays IT technologies play a big role in people’s lives. It is difficult to imagine our life without them. IT technology is the class of disciplines and areas related to technology management and data processing, including the use of computer technology. They are all around us such as television, computers, etc. Their introduction should begin with the creation of software the formation of information flows in system training.

Computer technology and information technology are responsible of the storage, transmission, processing, protection and reproduction of information using computers. It is impossible to imagine modern production, science , culture, sports and the economy which is not use computers. Computers help people in work, entertainment, education and research. Nowadays every family has a computer.

Computer technology is a cutting edge science of the XXI century. It is the set of scientific, technological and engineering discipline that study the methods of effective labor organization of people employed hardling and storage of information processing techniques and methods of organization, interaction with people, and production equipment and their practical application. It is associated with all these social, economic and cultural issues.

I can’t imagine my life without computers. It helps me in my studying. I use the computer to find the latest information in the Internet. I think it is the best way to be in the know of everything. My opinion, computers will soon replace traditional books because they can provide interesting pictures and additional information about the author. What is more, I don’t have to go to the library in order to find the necessary book.

In conclusion, I would like to say that IT technologies play huge role and they are very important, so people must improve them.

IT in My Life

Nowadays there are a lot of heated debates about the place and role of IT technology in modern everyday life. Some people claim, it is impossible to live without it , while others believe it has more drawbacks. So where does the truth lie? Personally, I would like to name a number of arguments for. My first point to witness for IT technology is the fact that it allows to communicate instantly and easily throughout the world. Moreover, from my point of view, modern electronic gadgets such as E-books make reading much easier and more pleasant as you can load tens of volumes and have practically any book at hand wherever you are. Moreover, in my opinion, IT is being involved in the process of education as more and more schools are being equipped now with electron projectors, interactive boards and iPads. I do assure they make the process of studying more efficient and fascinating for students. However, some people strongly deny the utility of IT. Their first argument is that all modern electron devices damage our health as they have negative influence on it. I share their worries but we can rehabilitate in the gyms or playgrounds doing sport and trying to keep fit. Moreover, they predict that a further development of IT will turn people to addicts spending hours being glued to screens. Furthermore, they are worried people spend more and more time in a virtual world instead of a real one. I agree up to a point , but to tell the truth, sometimes it is better to communicate on the Internet instead of going out due to an increasing crime rate.

To sum up, it is not an easy question to solve. Personally, I admit it is impossible to stop technological development so we should try to make the most reasonable use of it.

Das Thema „Computer“ lässt niemanden kalt. Wofür braucht man den Computer? Hat er mehr Vorteile als Nachteile oder umgekehrt ? Ein sehr aktuelles Problem. Dazu schreibt man viele Artikel in den Zeitungen, dazu gibt es Radio- und Fernsehsendungen.

Es ist klar, dass der Computer das Leben des Menschen erleichtert, weil er Entfernungen kürzer macht und er in automatisierten Betrieben benutzt wird. Es besteht kein Zweifel daran, dass der Computer eine reiche Informationsquelle ist, weil er Zugang zu allen Informationen hat. Außerdem ermöglicht der Computer das Unmögliche.

Andererseits aber ist der Computer für die Gesundheit sehr schädlich, weil die Ärzte behaupten, dass er den Augen schadet und Kopfschmerzen bewirkt. Nach allgemeiner Meinung werden viele Menschen, besonders Kinder, computersüchtig. Sie verlieren den Kontakt mit der Realität und beginnen in einer virtuellen Welt zu leben. Einige denken auch, dass es im Internet viele falsche Information gibt.

Viele sind der Ansicht, dass der Computer sehr nützlich in der Schule ist. Ganz meine Meinung! Die Schüler benutzen ihn nicht nur in Informatik, sondern auch fast in jedem Unterricht. In Informatik bekommen wir praktische Kenntnisse, wie man mit Computer umgeht. Ich glaube, der Computer macht den Unterricht interessanter und kreativer. Wir können verschiedene Aufgaben lösen, die nicht in den Lehrbüchern sind. Außerdem hat man die Möglichkeit, Filme zu sehen und OnlineÜbungen zu machen, die das Unterrichtsthema besser verstehen helfen.

Ich persönlich denke, dass der Computer ein tolles Gerät ist. Er hilft viele Informationen finden und mit Freunden aus Ausland kommunizieren. Selbstverständlich, dass der Computer eine gute Unterhaltung und sogar Lieblingsbeschäftigung von vielen Menschen ist. Er kann auch Träume verwirklichen. Ich finde es toll, dass der Computer zu unserer Zeit gehört. Außerdem wird in der Zukunft das Leben viel moderner als heute sein. Alles wird automatisch funktionieren.

Nowadays millions of people from all over the world use a lot of appliances, devices and gadgets which means that there were a lot of changes in different areas such as education, communication and transport. But the most important change was ,of course,in home area. IT is the area of managing technology and spans a wide variety of areas that include computer software, information systems, computer hardware, programming languages but are not limited to things such as processes, and data constructs.

In today’s world there are numerous discussions about new inventions of our world and their advantages or disadvantages concerning a computer,a radio or a pager.But the most important inventions,if you ask,me are the mobile phone,mp3 which are in today’s world rather popular.A mobile phone is mostly used as a tool of text-messaging, as alarm-clocks, calculators, to send photos, play games and to help with exam revision. It,of course, has several not very good effects as some teengers have admitted cheating on tests using their phones,no wonder mobile phones are banned in my school on our lessons as well as in others. Secondly,you can simply become addicted to this appliance while using it everywhere,everyday.I believe it’s abnormal as it causes a lot of illnesses like canser. Last but not least,I do assure when a teenager has a mobile phone he calls every 5 minutes which results in huge expences. In my opinion, it is harmful because it leads to living in a virtual world.

As far as I am concerned,a mobile phone is an indispensable thing in the modern world, as without it it is very difficult to manage.Firstly,it allows you to quickly connect with anyone.Moreover,a mobile phone has long ceased to be just a phone which allows you to get online.Finally,it is an entire game console,with many kinds of entertainment,from games and ending movies.So,that’s why I believe a modern world simply can not do without them whereas phone manufacturers are trying to make their phones as safe as possible.

In conclusion,I admit that IT-tecnology plays an important role in my life and in the life of evrybody not due to the fact that it makes our life easier but also thanks to its communicative role.

Having dinner in the trembling flame of candles, sending letters written on scented paper, riding in carts harnessed with a graceful horse are rather romantic, aren’t they? Perhaps you belong to that kind of daydreamers who miss the refined culture of the aristocratic society, still I bet that if you were questioned «When would you prefer to live?», hardly would you like to go back in time. In fact, some recent changes have turned the world upside down. No more we use candles, but electricity, no more we get snail mails, but instant messages. Eventually, the exploitation of horses has ended! In past few centuries the living conditions have greatly improved in terms of speed, safety and particularly comfort.

As far as the current century is concerned, it is mainly the IT-technology which has made a giant leap for mankind. How has it done?

Look around yourself. Aren’t you at the school at this moment? In the school where all the classrooms are equipped with at least one computer set, at school where teachers have got used to show presentations upon every newly studied theme, where a library is supplied with a great deal of electronic books(an extremely useful item, in particular, for those lazy fellows who do not favour carrying heavy bags loaded with piles of ordinary books) .Finally, at school, where you will never come across with a human being who doesn’t see the meaning of the word ‘I-phone’ and where everyone has a mobile in his pocket.

Actually, our ancestors could only dream of the opportunities we have today! Do you remember the plate from ancient Russian fairytales which would show you anyone doing in any corner of the globe, just as you have rolled an apple on its surface. The only click today and Skype (a kind of programmer for video conferencing) makes this crazy idea come to the reality.

Then, let’s bring up Pushkin’s «The Sleeping Beauty »with a wonderful mirror telling you about the most charming women in the world. It’s a great pity, but nowadays any spam message across the World Wide Web would do the same, in addition, providing your computer system with viruses.

Nevertheless, isn’t it a little bit fantastic-an ability to access to any desired information? One can easily make a product, ship it across the country or worldwide or download something instead with the least time and money wasting. Besides, transmitted data will be received instantaneously, regardless of the distance.

By the way, how do you feel about all powerful genies which come out of a lamp at your first wish with a helping hand? To my mind, these legends are closely connected with a dream of having a neat wise friend around you. Fortunately, nowadays social networking websites which range from private blogs to extensively popular Twitter and altogether they arrive with a vast array of communication capabilities. Thus, keeping in touch with people from other cities, countries and even continents is no longer a problem, as if you were living next door.

Well, not to bore you much, as the list of profits we take from Informational Technology is endless, I am to conclude: though the future prospects of IT are unclear and foggy, it seems to be the fog before the sunrise- the rise of the new Era.

Ich kann mir mein Leben ohne Computer nicht vorstellen. Meiner Meinung nach ist der Computer ein tolles Gerät.

Ich benutze ihn nicht nur in meiner Freizeit, sondern bereite auch verschiedene Projekte für die Schule vor.

Am Anfang war ich von den Spielen fasziniert. Dann entdeckte ich auch praktische Seiten des Computers. Ich sammle Informationen im Internet. So viel und so aktuelles Material kann man in keinem Buch finden. Es ist auch wichtig, dass der Computer Entfernungen kürzer macht. Per Skype kann ich mit meinen Verwandten von Moskau reden.

In unserer Schule werden Computer im Unterricht viel eingesetzt. Zum Beispiel, wenn wir Biologie haben, sehen wir uns verschiedene Filme über die Natur mir Hilfe vom Computer an. Außerdem benutzen wir Computer um Disco in der Schulaula zu organisieren. Es ist auch wichtig, den Computer in anderen Fächern einzusetzen, besonders um verschiedene Projekte zu präsentieren. Deshalb kann ich mit Sicherheit sagen, dass der Computer das Lernen erleichtert und das Lehrmaterial interessanter und kreativer erklären hilft.

Information Technology is abbreviated as IT and is defined as “The development, installation, and implementation of computer systems and applications”. It is a general term that describes any technology helping to produce, manipulate, store, communicate, and/or disseminate information. In other word, it can be said that IT is the use of computers and software to manage information. It also defines an industry that uses computers, networking, software programming, and other equipment and processes to store, process, retrieve, transmit, and protect information. The information technology department of a large company are responsible for storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving information as necessary.

As time passed and technology advanced, such as with the advent of a personal computer in the 1980s and its everyday use in the home and the workplace, the world moved into the information age. By the early 21st century, nearly every child in the Western world, and many in other parts of the world, including me, knew how to use a personal computer. A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems.

As for me, Information technology helps to be in regular contact with my relatives living in different countries. Besides, I have made many friends from chatting. I never would have met any of these people if not for the Internet.

Das heutige Leben besteht daraus, die Information zu bekommen, dann diese richtig anzuwenden. Beim Studium oder bei der Arbeit kommunizieren wir mit verschiedenen Menschen oder informieren uns aus anderen zuverlässigen Quellen, solchen wie z.B. Fernsehen, Rundfunk, Zeitung und Zeitschrift. Heute gewinnt das Internet immer mehr an Bedeutung. Fast in jeder Familie gibt es einen Computer mit dem Anschluss ans Internet. Selbst kleine Kinder sind zu erfahrenen Benutzern geworden, die überwiegend Computerspiele spielen. Die Studenten schreiben Aufsätze, Referate und Aufträge. Die Erwachsenen brauchen Computer für die Arbeit: sie machen Tabellen, Prognose, surfen im Internet. Im Internet kann man auch Nachrichten lesen, sich nach dem Wetter erkundigen, Kontakte knüpfen, Freunde finden, Annoncen aufgeben und vieles andere. Ohne gute Computer- und Internetkenntnisse ist es heute unmöglich, eine interessante gutbezahlte Arbeit zu finden.

Multimedia-Computer bieten neuartige Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten; Film, Fernsehen und Video in einem. Man kann nicht nur von seinem Computer aus telefonieren, sondern die eingehenden Anrufe lassen sich per PC in „Gesprächsboxen“ für jedes einzelne Familienmitglied einordnen. Mit diesen neuen Computern kann man sogar Geld sparen, denn der Rechner schickt Faxe automatisch zu Zeiten günstiger Tarife ab. Das funktioniert auch, wenn der Computer ausgeschaltet ist. Die neue Generation von Rechner ist zugleich PC und Fernseher. Möglich ist das durch eine Zusatzkarte mit integriertem TV/Video-System. Sie wird einfach in eine Computer-„Schublade“ gesteckt. Damit lassen sich auf dem Bildschirm sämtliche Fernsehprogramme samt Videotext empfangen und aufzeichnen.

Was mich betrifft, so ist der Computer für mich ziemlich wichtig. Oft benutze ich Internet, dort suche ich nützliche Informationen , die ich beim Hausaufgabenmachen brauche.

Information Technology in Our Life

Information technology is extremely important in my life, as it is related to studying, designing and developing the information related to computers. This field is growing at a very fast pace over the last few years and according to successful and well-known people in the Information technology sector, as Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, this growth is expected to remain stable. I am going to consider the role of Information technology in today’s life, especially in such important sectors as education and daily routine.

From my point of view, since the term «information technology» originated in 1958, its impact on education has grown to unfathomable heights and technology has obviously changed both teaching and learning methods, but for the better. As pencil sharpeners begin disappearing from classroom walls, students rejoiced as they received their own iPads or other gadgets for educational use. In an instant the future literally jumped into my hands, making us an immediate part of modern culture. No matter what socio-economic status the student knew prior to that day, he or she would have the same opportunity to engage in the wireless society of the future. Using IT across the curriculum helps the to learn how to search better on the world wide web, and helps me learn to know what information is accurate and what information is just put out there without checks . Not only does technology prepare students for future employment, but it also helps the educational process as a whole. By utilizing etextbooks, for example, the problem of heavy backpacks disappears. Lockers no longer are needed and storage requirements are minimized for me. Accommodations are met more easily as books could be read aloud with particular wireless devices. Now, in a span of few years, we have developed so many telecommunications devices, using such advanced and complex technology. Some excellent examples are fax, which help me and my family to send documents and letters across the world in two seconds. A relative new comer on the block is the Internet. Two ‘parts’ of the Internet and E-mail have become a part of my daily routine. Due to these information technologies, I get a chance to be in touch with many friends from all over the world, which was not possible earlier.

In conclusion I’d like to say that Information technology has opened a new era of information not only in our daily life, but also in education and business and has enabled it to gather information and this function is more effective.

À la dernière décennie les ordinateurs ont rempli notre vie. Maintenant ils sont presque dans chaque famille. Nous nous les sommes habitués et nous ne présentons pas la vie sans cette voiture prodigieuse.

Avec les ordinateurs Internet est entré dans notre vie. Il est devenu la partie intégrante de la vie de chaque personne. Actuellement, les gens ne peuvent pas vivre un jour sans contrôle mails, sans visite des sites aimés. L’Internet est non seulement l’adjoint dans le travail journalier, l’nternet c’est un autre monde, dans lequel il y a des boîtes aux lettres, bibliothèques, photogaleries, jeux, magasins. Avec l’aide de l’Internet, les geunes surtout, peuvent voyager par de différentes villes, visiter des endroits touristiques, communiquer avec les gens.

Ces derniers temps, plusieurs gens posent la question : «L’internet, est-il nuisible ou utile ?». Je pense qu’à cette question il n’y a pas de réponse définie. En effet, d’une part, l’Internet est un objet très bon et utile. De l’autre côté, Internet a beaucoup de fonctions négatives : de la dépendance, de l’argent, de la santé, la dépense inutile du temps.

Certes, l’Internet peut être l’adjoint excellent à la recherche de l’information. Mais, si tout le temps passer dans l’ Internet, il y aura de grands problèmes. Les gens perdent les liens avec le monde réel, sont dans la dépendance complète de l’ordinateur. Je trouve, qu’il est important d’apprendre à distinguer la limite entre la vie réelle et la vie dans l’Internet. Il faut comprendre ce qui est important.

Pour moi, l’Internet joue un rôle considérable dans ma vie. Je dois dire que j’utilise l’Internet non seulement pour mes relations avec mes amis, ainsi que pour la réception des connaissances. En surfant sur Net, je trouve beaucoup d’informations utiles, qui m’aide à mes études. En plus, j’apprends à travailler avec des documents, photos et vidéos dossiers. Je pense qu’en utilisant l’Internet, les gens développent leur mentalité et passent leur temps d’une façon intéressante.

To start with, nowadays there are lots of different ways of communication between people. In my opinion, the Internet is definitely a valuable source of information, but as with all forms of technology one must know how to make the best use of it. Today with a touch of a button we can get any information available, sitting in the comfort of our homes so we have really become more knowledgeable and aware of things happening around us the greatest power at our fingertips…the power of knowledge!

Nowadays, no one can deny the importance of the Internet. Sitting in front of a computer, clicking a mouse three times, you can get access to the information highway, which provides you numerous valuable sources of information. Thanks to the Internet, people can quickly sell, advertise and share knowledge, ideas and personal feelings. For instance, suppose someone wants to start off a business venture. He can get all information regarding other companies in the same line of business, he can do a cost benefit analysis, gather corroborating data, make new contacts and so on as he is now well informed. If he has to discuss this with other potential partners he is armed with a wealth of information.

Although the Internet offers us large amount of information, its reliability is dubious because many untrue news stories can be posted to it and cause confusions to many people. It is very difficult for us to find out what websites are reliable and what are not.

Certainly, the Internet can be on excellent assistant in information search. But if we spend a lot of time on the Internet we will have some problems: having lost a touch with the real world, getting in a full dependence on a computer. I think, it is important to learn to distinguish a side between a real life and a life on the Internet. For that it is necessary to understand, what really important on the Internet is and what is not. And then the Internet will be not a terrible enemy, but an indispensable assistant. On the other hand, the Internet causes trouble to people, especially young ones. Although people can get an access to up-to-date knowledge and information, problems caused by using information from the Internet are inevitable. Therefore, while the Internet can provide a lot of useful information, its cons cannot be underestimated.

In conclusion, it really depends on how you use a particular technology — used in moderation and in an intelligent manner it could be the greatest tool. Otherwise it becomes an enemy that steals time and waylays and deters a person from achieving his ultimate goal.

IT-Technology: Pros and Cons

To start with, in the hectic world of today there are so many different views on the problem of using IT-technology. Some people suppose that nowadays ITtechnology is a part of our world and it is developing at a rapid pace, opening up new possibilities and enriching the lives of people worldwide. On the contrary, there is a group of people who oppose this point of view pointing out that there are some disadvantages of IT-technology that cannot be ignored. So, where does the truth lie?

Personally, I am all for those who consider IT-technology as the main part of our life. In my view, it is true that nearly everything we do in the world is helped or even controlled by computers. Computers are used more and more often in the world today because they are far more efficient than human beings. They have much better memory and can store a huge amount of information. Moreover, it goes without saying that modern information and communication technologies have created a ‘global village’, in which people can communicate with others across the world as if they were living next door. Last but not least, the business world has also benefited greatly from computer technology and such ease of communication. Vast amounts of money are handled by computers and exist solely in a kind of banking cyberspace; video conferencing has meant intercontinental meetings can be held without any party leaving the comfort of their office.

However, some people disagree claiming out that the advent of new technology does not mean that there is less work to do, just that there is time for more and more work. People could not get rid of stress and seem to have less time to spend with family and friends. Furthermore, they are trying to persuade that technology can offer some benefits but not everyone can use it. Computer literacy is a demand in today’s work force and is mostly affecting the older generation. The older generation is at a disadvantage compared to the younger generation. Although I share their opinions, I cannot agree with them because it is true to say that in many industries the use of technology and computers has increased the level of output and productivity thus creating an increase in employment and increasing need for research and development in the technological field to serve society.

In conclusion, coming back to the points mentioned above, it is not an easy question to solve and opinions are different. But in my view, IT-technology has more advantages than disadvantages. It is an open secret that every computer is a source of education, entertainment and communication and I cannot imagine my life without IT-technology.

Technology is developing at a rapid race, opening up new possibilities and enriching people’s lives worldwide. From computer hardware to software applications, information technology is nowadays an important part of our world. Information technology is a general term describing any technology that helps to produce, manipulate store, communicate and disseminate information. One can very cheaply and quickly make a copy of a product made of bits and ship it across the country or around the world both quickly and at a very low cost. IT professionals perform many duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases, data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, management and administration of entire documents.

It is well known that IT is similar to Information and Communication Technologies and in the past few decades, they have provided people’s society with a vast array of new communication capabilities. For example, people can communicate in real-time with others in different countries using technologies such as instant messaging, voice over IP telephone connection over the Internet and videoconferencing. Social networking websites like Facebook or Twitter allow users from all over the world to remain in contact and communicate on a regular basis. In other words, modern technologies have created a “global village” in which people can communicate with others across the world as if they were next door neighbours.

But to my of thinking, communication isn’t the only advantage or IT technologies. What is especially actual for each of us it that software applications can be installed in the computer like spelling and grammar checker and dictionary. Thus, it takes less time to proofread a written document and there is no need to open up a dictionary to look up a word. In addition to this, typing is much faster than writing on a paper and if there is a need for recognizing the sentences or paragraphs, one can act and past and make the necessary changes. Thus, computers allows the users to create documents, edit, print and store them, so that they can retried later.

From my point of view, it is not worth talking about the fact that progress of IT mentioned above are not the sole. Of course, it can cite million examples, illustrating how our life has transformed with the development of ICT, but in spite of this, they remain one of the most critical part of human societies and undoubtedly, each person has a right to decide for himself wherever IT is good or bad.

IT-technology makes our life easier, more convenient and efficient. Obviously, it is a great revolution of human being. It is odd that some consider that ITtechnology makes people’s life more complex and stressful. I suppose they are necessity, like food or water to the mankind. As a student I often use IT-technology and can’t imagine my life without a computer or a mobile phone. IT-technology is an essential part of our life and education. Using new technologies will make the studies more informative and attractive.

As for me, I can’t imagine my life without IT-technology especially without a mobile phone. The greatest advantage of a mobile phone is I can communicate to my nearest and dearest no matter where I am. Moreover, I can relax with mobile phone’s applications, playing games or listening to music. Entertainment, especially when I travel or get bored, was not so easy. I can’t imagine my life without a mobile as it gives me an opportunity to keep in touch with people in any place and in any time.

Some years ago computers have filled our life. Now they are almost in each family. We have got used to them and we do not imagine our leisure without computers. With the help of computers the Internet has been introduced which is becoming an integral part of each person’s life. Now people cannot live even a day without checking their mail or visiting their favourite sites. In my opinion the Internet is not only an assistant in daily work, it is also the other world with mail boxes, libraries, photo galleries, games, shops. By means of the Internet people can travel to different cities, visit tourist attractions, communicate with each other. Information is probably the biggest advantage that Internet offers. Internet is a virtual treasure trove of information. Any kind of information on any topic is available on the Internet. Students and children are among the top users who surf the Internet for research. Today, it is almost required that students should use the Internet for research or the purpose of gathering resources. Entertainment is another popular reason why I prefer to surf the Internet. A wide variety of entertainment including video games, music, movies, chat room or news can be accessed through the Internet.

One can’t imagine an online life without Facebook or Twitter. Social networking has become so popular amongst youth that it might one day replace physical networking. It has evolved as a great medium to connect with millions of people with similar interests. Besides, there are chat rooms where users can meet new and interesting people. E-mail is excellent for keeping in touch with a family and friends. The greatest advantage of email is that it is free when compared to a telephone, fax and postal services.

Electronic books also play a big role in my life as they have a great number of advantages. Firstly I don’t have to go to a bookstore to buy books, neither to wait for them for days. What is more when I need certain information, I can get it immediately, by downloading an electronic book. Furthermore, an electronic book takes up less space so I practically don’t need any space to store it. I don’t need a library or a room for books. Apart from this, electronic books are portable so I can read them anywhere: on the bus, train or airplane. Moreover, electronic books are more safely stored and carried from one place to another, than ordinary books. Also electronic books are searchable. I can easily search for any information in an electronic book, instead of turning page after page.

To sum up, I believe IT-technology plays an important role in my life and in the life of everybody in this world not only due to making our life easier but also because that it helps us to communicate with each other.

The world develops, technical progress also develops constantly, and today people have lots of inventions such as computers, video cameras, laptops, TVs and, of course, mobile phones. I believe that no consumer product in history has caught on as quickly as the mobile phone. Almost everyone these days has it and the arrival of it has transformed our lifestyles so much.

These is no doubt that mobile phones are extremely useful. This is particularly true when you need to contact someone and no ordinary phone is available. It can help in different problems, for example, you can discuss your deals with parents if you are not home. Another thing is it is modern and comfortable. It is constantly swallowing up other products like cameras, calculators, clocks, radios, digital music players and the Internet. It is very comfortable to have an in your hand, because you can chat with other people, find useful information. To my mind, as for education, programmers on phones, they are dictionaries, maps and others. It is possible to communicate with anybody using SMS, which is a short message that people can send to others. It does not usually take several days to arrive, so you do not waste your time.

I am inclined to believe that the main disadvantage of using mobile phones is they can be harmful, due to electric waves, which mobile phones produce to communicate with the station. Those waves make bad influence on our health. Personally I believe, it is dangerous to use mobiles in an underground. Mobiles lose their station in an underground and in order to find it they increase the amount of that waves. So, you should try not to spend all day with mobile phone. There are obviously other drawbacks to mobile as well mobile users are two and a half times more likely to develop cancer in areas of the brain adjacent to their phone, although researchers are unable to prove whether this anything to do with the phone.

Not to mention the fact if you are in the cinema, for instance, a mobile ringing can be extremely annoying. There are also times, such as in class at school, when it would be disrespectful to have a mobile switched on. There is no doubt that SMS is worse than writing letters, because you can not include a lot of information in SMS, discussing important problems.

As for me, I can not exactly say if A am in favor or against using a mobile phone. I have had my mobile since the third class. Nowadays, as I see, there are many children that have mobile phones since their early childhood. I do not agree with their parents. But in spite of all mobile phones are one of the modern ways of communication which is very popular and necessary.

To sum up, I can say you must not be afraid of your mobile phone if you do not spend much time using it.

Someone would say that technology is to blame for the evils in this world. Let’s compare our life nowadays with the life of people at the beginning of the 20 th century. It has changed beyond recognition. Our ancestors hadn’t the slightest idea of the trivial things created by a scientific progress inventions of which we use in our everyday life. I mean refrigerators, TV set, mobile phones, computers, which make our life much easier, more comfortable and pleasant.

In my opinion the best representative of IT- technology is a mobile phone. Mobile phones have made their own unique stand. A mobile phone acts like your mother and makes you up in the morning; it is your reminder that keeps you updated of all your meetings and important events.

When you are stressed and need some music to soothe your soul then just turn on your music player or a radio.

Today many people can’t imagine their life without the Internet with its most popular Internet service an e-mail. Most of the people use the network only for sending and receiving messages. It must be admitted other popular services are available too. It is reading news, available on some dedicated news servers, telnet, FTP servers, and others.

All in all I am sure that IT – technologies play an important part in our lives.

IT-Technologies In My Life

Few will argue that the invention of the Internet, or World Wide Web to be precious, has completely changed the daily lives of millions of people. Since the early 90’s hundreds of new jobs have been created to utilize, develop and explore the endless possibilities of the Web. It has transformed the lives of a whole generation and was transformed by them at the same time. Children, born in the digital age interact with the web since their childhood. Call it a good or a bad thing, I am one of them.

One can say for sure that I am a heavy technology user. My first ‘IT experience’ was at the age of five, when my father bought his first computer. However, it was not until twelve years that I discovered the Internet. At the time I did not realize how much the web holds for everyone who gets stumbled upon it.

In fact, my real passion for IT has begun when my parents bought me a smartphone. As many other hobbies, it began with a simple interest about ‘how it all works’. I gradually got to know the history of computers and related technology, the algorithms of their work, read tech blogs, got involved in innovative startups’ world and enlarged my knowledge. My web exploration experience has remained greatly diversed due to high level of English, allowing me to use resources unreachable for those with limited knowledge. Since Russia has far way to go in high technology industry and Russia’s own international tech startups are only beginning to appear, it is becoming extremely useful to have an access to foreign websites, blogs and recourses both for entertainment and educational purposes.

It is not an exaggeration to say that technology shapes our daily lives. With the appearance of mobile tech, increasingly complicated in terms of development and simplistic in terms of usability operating systems and, most recently, cloud computing it is easier than ever to keep in touch, stay productive or access a vast world of entertainment wherever you go, whenever you want. As I see it, mobile is a key word in the future of IT, whether you like it or not.

The further the technology goes, the more obvious becomes the fact that to succeed in your future occupation, be able to operate the constantly increasing information flow wisely and generally not be left behind by others one has to be flexible and constantly learn to operate and understand new technology.
